Lily Pad and Fairy

So I got a quick idea and sketched/inked in like 20-30 minutes yesterday before the Easter celebrations began. Then later in the evening I put more detail into the lines and colored in the flower. Then today I colored in the rest while chatting with some buddies. 

I decided to do a side by side because I was getting mad at the scan eating the colors and my phone preserved the colors as my eye perceives them but always looked blurry in some way. So here's the both of them for your viewing pleasure XD

You would be surprised by how hard it is to find a picture of lily pads during rain, I know I was! I had to look at a lot of different pictures for different parts I wanted to try and get looking realistic. I still didn't get realistic, but it's close enough that it made me happy when I finished and checked it out. Water droplets are hard and I even considered using some white watercolor for a more cloudy effect but I decided to not risk it since I was happy with the rest. Hopefully your first or second thought when viewing it is something like water beading on the petals.

Oh! And I did this on a mailing label XD So if I trade it away, the lucky recipient can peel it off and stick it on something if they so desire.
